Job Description Maintenance Supervisor - Second Shift Work Schedule - 2nd Shift Cloverland Dairy is located in Baltimore City, Maryland, where we provide over 300 jobs for local residents. Cloverland Farms Dairy is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to be a part of Cloverland Farms Dairy team. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining an efficient facility, including receiving, processing, packaging equipment and related systems, general plant operations and waste treatment. The Maintenance Supervisor must have a working knowledge of the equipment (both mechanical and electrical) in all areas of responsibility. The Maintenance Supervisor will provide engineering support for the plant, to include project implementation, production, and equipment improvement initiatives and to support the daily operations of the plant to ensure all safety, production and quality goals are achieved. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure equipment reliability to maximize production line productivity. Oversee the preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure minimal downtime. Oversee full wastewater treatment and refrigeration systems. Evaluate the performance of team members and provide periodic feedback to ensure development. Prepare maintenance schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads. Manage a safe working environment for all maintenance personnel. Maintain plant quality performance standards. Provide emergency response procedures. Facilitate hazardous waste disposal programs. Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery using electrical schematics. Knowledge of motor components and controls, both 3-phase and low voltage. Knowledge of installation of conduit and related fittings. Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and related components. Help develop skills and cross train maintenance staff. Any other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills: 3-5 years of supervisory experience in the maintenance/engineering field. Dairy, beverage, packaging, or process industry background required. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with mechanics, carpentry, electrical, building maintenance, wastewater treatment and refrigeration systems. Experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and operating boilers, chillers, pumps, generators, and cooling towers. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills Ability and willingness to respond to emergency needs of the plant. Ability to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Familiarization with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Experience in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems. Pickup truck/Tractor Trailer at start of shift and verify load. Deliver products in a safe and timely manner to each customer assigned. Pick up and return all empty crates/pallets that were left from previous delivery from each customer. Must be able to lift, pull, and drag a minimum of 40lbs. Must be able to use a hand truck and/or power jack. Must provide good service and good customer relations. Must report all accidents, damages, complaints, or issues that may occur, and is accountable for filling out all necessary reports. Must be able to use a Handheld device for making deliveries, must be able to make necessary adjustments, to ensure accurate deliveries and accurate billing for our customers. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be 21 years of age or older. Must possess a valid CDL A license. Must possess a valid medical certification card. Air Brake Endorsement required. The Compliance Manager will assist the Director QA on maintaining compliant, quality, safe product for our customers. The ideal candidate is responsible for oversight of the compliance programs including licensing/registration, quality food safety systems, labeling, and audit requirements of FDA, MDH, PMO, and SQF. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement compliance programs, policies, and procedures to meet the regulatory requirements and assure ongoing compliance. Serve as the primary SQF Practitioner and lead external audits. Complete daily record review including compliance monitoring. Maintain relevant registration and licensing requirements for food manufacturing and storage locations. Manage supplier and specification database for raw materials and finished products including revisions and tracking of deviations. Maintain label database including review and verification for any new or revised artwork for content, format, and inclusions. Work cross functionally with production, procurement, quality and sales teams on specification, compliance and labelling related matters. Actively participate in new product and material process as the Quality Regulatory lead. Develop and lead relevant training for plant personnel such as compliance, SQF, label control. Participate in the HACCP team and support food safety programs in coordination with cross functional team. Stay up to date on changes in regulatory environment and identify potential areas of vulnerability and risk partnering with key stakeholders to develop and implement mitigation plans. Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant standards and claims including Kosher, Halal, GMO free, rBST free, etc. Any other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills: 5+ years of related compliance and audit experience in food processing with knowledge of FDA, FSMA, GFSI, SQF, internal audit, labelling, nutrition & regulatory compliance - experience in dairy manufacturing preferred BS Degree - degree in Regulatory Compliance, Food Science or Dairy Science preferred. Possess the ability to work independently, investigate areas of opportunity, solve problems, strong attention to detail, communication, and leadership skills. Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP's, PCQI and SQF with associated certification a plus Integrity and commitment to the highest ethical standards and personal values, including proven ability to maintain confidentiality. Understands and interprets US regulations, guidance documents, and guidelines. Ability to research rules, codes, regulations, and laws. Proficient in Word, Excel, and other job-related software applications Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance and kneel, bend, squat, reach, grip, push, pull and perform elevated work.
